When an individual is facing a DUI, often license suspensions come in two forms. One is an administrative suspension. These are suspensions that occur before a conviction actually happens in the case. The administrative suspensions handed down by the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and they can impact an individual’s license for as little as six months or up to two years.

This is separate and apart from suspensions that could occur as the result of a conviction and these are strongly impacted by whether or not an individual has a prior conviction or the circumstances surrounding the individual case.
