Attorney Jane Glynn
Whether you need an experienced litigator in a domestic crisis or an attorney who takes pride in crafting long-term strategies to anticipate, avoid, and minimize future roadblocks to your goals, you get everything you need in Indianapolis family lawyer Jane Glynn. Through years of focusing her practice on family law and family-law-adjacent matters, Jane has developed a skillset to complement her desire to help Indiana families in times of crisis as well as in times of planning.
Jane Glynn Focused on the Family from the Start
Jane set down the path to becoming a litigator and defender of families long before she became attorney Jane Glynn. A Hoosier native, Jane majored in Law and Society at Oberlin College. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she sought an outlet for intellectual as well as creative challenges, landing at IU Maurer School of Law in Bloomington.
While in school, Jane sought out practical experience to supplement her legal education, serving as a judicial clerk over the summers in LaPorte County circuit and superior courts. She also worked as a certified intern at the Elder Law Clinic at Indiana Legal Services, gaining her first practical experience in the law by working on legal matters faced by seniors, an area that would become a lasting part of her practice.
Upon receiving her law degree, Jane immediately began honing her litigation and alternative dispute resolution skills, working in Indianapolis area law firms and serving as shift supervisor at Kids’ Voice of Indiana, where she supervised their parent-child visitation program. She later opened a boutique family law firm, where she assisted clients with all aspects of family law and related issues, before joining the family law team at Keffer Hirschauer LLP.
A Full-Service Indianapolis Family Lawyer
From the Indianapolis office of Keffer Hirschauer LLP, Jane Glynn helps clients across the state plan for, address, and resolve a full range family law matters. She enjoys the investigative aspect of family law, such as analyzing records to find missed, hidden, or misunderstood assets, but even greater joy comes from helping parents resolve their issues in ways that preserve or even grow their relationships with their children.
Jane provides comprehensive family law services. The types of matters that often first come to mind in family law include:
- Legal separation
- Child custody
- Child support
- Child visitation
- Grandparent visitation
- Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements
- Relocation law
- Spousal maintenance
- Uniform Custody Act
In addition to serving clients in divorce-related cases, Jane also helps families in non-divorce-related matters, such as:
- Guardian ad litem
- Parenting time supervision
- Protective orders
Attorney Jane Glynn has your back, providing skillful yet compassionate counsel and litigation services to her family law clients.
An Indiana Family Lawyer Who Values Alternatives to the Courtroom
While some disputes or issues can only be resolved in the courtroom, Jane understands the value of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Indeed, some courts require parties to use a form of ADR or collaborative law to attempt to negotiate a settlement before the court will proceed to hear the case.
Jane has deep experience helping her clients reach agreements in domestic and family law matters through ADR. Using domestic relations mediation or arbitration under the Indiana Family Law Arbitration Act, Indiana Code § 34-57-5-1, she guides individuals in finding solutions to resolve their differences and move forward with their lives.
In addition to conventional ADR methods, Jane is also an adept Indianapolis collaborative divorce lawyer. This process allows spouses to work together to separate their material and personal lives and step into the next phase in a positive and non-adversarial way.
